About me

Hi, my name is Thais Uchiyama Dieter and I was born in 1977 in the vibrant metropolis of São Paulo, Brazil. However, my roots extend far beyond the Brazilian borders, as my grandparents are from Japan. In 2004, I followed my heart and moved to Germany, where I found a new home with my family in the lovely medieval city of Tübingen.

My professional journey began with a degree in architecture in Brazil, followed by an MBA in International Management in Germany. Apart from my professional activities as an architect and graphic designer, I find balance in oil painting and the opportunity to express feelings on the canvas.

As an artist, it is important to me to express the beauty and tranquillity of nature through my oil paintings. My works are mainly inspired by water and mountain landscapes, capturing different cloud shapes, the movement of water, the wide view from the mountains and the horizon of the sea. The use of soft purple tones, calming sky blue and warm light colors conveys an atmosphere of calm and balance. These quiet landscapes invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a world of harmony and inner peace.

I’m so glad you stopped by, and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating them for you. Let me know if you are interested in commissioned work. I would love to help you!
