I painted this piece at the end of 2023, after my trip to my home country Brazil. That is where I found the inspiration for it – a quiet evening at the beach, the sky in warm rosy tones at sunset, and the wide view over the ocean.
In the water, I wanted to capture the gentle movement of the sea. When you look at this part of the painting for a while, it almost feels as if the waves are softly moving.
The title “New Horizons” represents new perspectives, new wishes, and an open horizon.
